This image presents the back entrance into the congregation that is also home to the synagogue's farm, a project of Temple Beth Israel and the nonprofit organization "Uncommon Good". As of 2014, the lawn has been transformed into urban farmland that produces organic vegetables with no pesticides or chemicals to feed the hungry and to provide healthy, local food for the community. Complete with scarecrows and multiple garden beds, this project is a key part of the congregation's involvement with the Jewish people as well as the entirety of the Pomona Valley community. The congregation declared that this project contributes to "the Jewish value of providing of the riches of your land to those in need".
