Easter Sunrise Service

The Easter Sunrise Service is a nondenominational service held by the school each year. The school holds several nondenomenational services for different holidays, but Easter is one of the larger ones.

This service features prayer, a homily given by a pastor from Ojai, and music performed by students.

The gorgeous view of the Valley early in the morning is supplemented by the symbol of the cross for this religious holiday. As reflected in the hymn chosen for this event, natural beauty contributes a lot to this annual religious service.

Although some of the students shown here might be attending for religious reasons, most of them are probably only attending because they are in the Thacher Chamber Singers choir.

Overall, the Easter Sunrise Service is a rather pleasant event (if you're willing to get up early enough to go). The event is not required for students to attend but is offered as a nondenomenational service for any students, faculty, or staff that might wish to.
